See, that’s what the app is perfect for.

Sounds perfect Wahhhh, I don’t wanna

One of the really great things about having loved ones–friends, family, spiritual leaders, etc.– is that when you’re going through a crisis and get tunnel vision from all the fear and anger life’s challenges throw at you, they can be a source of strength and comfort. They can talk you off the ledge. They can guide you towards a better, healthier path. A path where growth and healing are possible. And it isn’t manipulation, it isn’t denying you free will. It’s help, a clearer perspective, an act of love, and a belief that you are better than the terrible decisions we are all susceptible to making when the shit hits the fan.

yes this post is about astarion what gave it away bg3 astarion bg3 ascended astarion makes for an interesting story and some fantastic ✨spice✨ but it also makes him a cheap knock off of his abuser its not narratively satisfying to me and it isn't his good happy ending

I can’t be the only one who updates my character’s appearance as a game progresses. Because they had to have changed their look a couple times over the in game days/weeks/months/years, right?. In all that time their hair didn’t grow out? Makeup didn’t get all fucked? Didn’t earn a scar or two? And if they get a moment of reprieve in game, wouldn’t they freshen themselves? If there’s one consistency about my characters it’s that they have a new look every act at least.

Btw the easiest way to skyrocket your approval with Astarion is to rest immediately after talking to Nettie in druid’s grove (sleep cut scene should be him sneaking away) (and head straight there after picking up companions) then finding the boar he drained and sleep again (this unlocks his bite scene– note that’s this will get pushed back in favor of Wyll’s scene with Mizora if you find Karlach the same day). He has a better response if you cut him off early. After that find the monster hunter near the hag’s hut and let Astarion kill him. Assuming you picked up some stray approval along the way (tell Lae'zel to say ‘please’ when rescuing her, recruit Karlach, say you won’t take Raphael’s deal, 'disturb’ the bugbear and ogre, insult and fight the goblins at blighted village, throw shit at the other set of goblins outside their camp, let the tiefling kill Sazza the goblin, just to name a few) and this pixel man’s approval should be high by day three or four of adventuring. This also means he’ll ask to sleep with you before the tiefling party and you can get more approval from agreeing to meet him, playing coy, and letting him bite you again.

You do not need to be mean to children I promise you. I know it says he approves but that’s like a +1 modifier. Accepting his vampirism, playing along when he asks you who you would drink at camp or how you want to die (indulge this man’s morbid curiosity), and standing by his side against hunters nets like +50 when alls said and done. Oh, and camp often.

There's a reason the state starts by going after the people you refuse to respect

Fuckin iowa jesus christ. And fucking republicans in general

Please notice that the wording they use has shifted from "marriage between one man and one woman" to "marriage between one male and one female". This is not a coincidence. GCs and terfs have no excuse to not see the blood on their hands.

Alistair never wanted to be king. He all but begs you not to be put on the throne. The fact that some of you were completely shocked by him dumping you after you fuck his life like that speaks volumes. The fact you’d rather harden him and be his mistress over living the rest of your short lives together as wardens is genuinely mind boggling. Literally the only person who thinks putting Alistair on the throne is Arl Eamon and he has a history of abusing Alistair. Does it boil down to the fact that you just don’t like Anora? The woman who has been leading Ferelden for five years and is remarkably gifted at politicking and governance–why the hell wouldn’t you want her on the throne? Honestly someone please make sense of this for me…

Why do the damage of hardening a good man so that you can be his honorary side bitch? Why don’t you want a woman on the throne? Why is Arl Eamon right in your eyes? Why put Alistair on the throne at all when he’s made it very clear he doesn’t want it? How is any of this better than ‘live a happy(ish) life with Alistair as wardens and leave the politics to literally anyone else’?

Make it make sense

What’s really great about POE2: Deadfire is that your party can be an undead cipher/watcher with a pet floating skull of an archmage, a wizard whose awakened self is a violent Scottish drunk, a radiant bird goddess, a sarcastic blue fuzzball out for blood, a big buff man who is also a fish (and a momma’s boy), and a farmer. And at least one faction is not ok with that.
